Friday’s Horse Racing Betting NAP of The Day – 22nd November 2019
Tips from The Finishing Line’s Andrew Halligan.
After yet another successful day with Sinoria doing the business in great style at Thurles on Thursday, I look to finish yet another great week with another winner or two. I head to a great card at Ascot for today’s two picks.
Ascot 2.05 – Glory And Fortune @ 9/2
My first pick GLORY AND FORTUNE is 2 from 2 (Listed Bumper and Maiden Hurdle), he won his bumper in great style for a horse having his first run in a Listed bumper and to say he done everything wrong on his hurdles debut is not an understatement.
He has to be mounted on track, pulled like a demon, made a few mistakes and neatly came to a standstill three out. But guess what, he still won going away at the finish. That alone impressed me and he was put down as a horse to follow next time out.
I am sure GLORY AND FORTUNE is going to come on for the run and has surely learned a lot and been schooled to get his job down for today’s task.
He takes on smart bumper performer Master Debonair, who beat who is looking to be a top-class hurdler in Thyme Hill in a bumper at Cheltenham back in November 2018. He was second on his hurdle debut at Cheltenham last month and he is also sure to come on for his run and is a big threat to today’s selection.

Ascot 3.45 – Red Force One @ 5/2
I am really sweet on the chances of RED FORCE ONE today. Last seen when finishing a fast-finishing second behind Greatwood Hurdle runner up Gumball over C&D and this looks a great opportunity to get another win under his belt. He has gone up 4lb for the effort and I don’t think that will stop him winning.
The main danger will come from Speedy Company who was a good winner at Chepstow where he easily put Greatwood Hurdle 4th Quoi De Neuf away just before the last hurdle. He has gone up a total of 9lb for that win and that might just to hay to him following up today.
At a bigger price, the Dan Skelton trained Ferrobin could play a hand in his first handicap as I think he would always shine in a race like this, but this might to competitive for him today.
