NordicBet is mostly known for their Scandinavian focus, however despite this they are one of Europe’s leading bookmakers and one of the largest gaming companies in the industry. They offer competitive odds and an expertise in Scandinavian sports and leagues that makes them stand out. They still offer great coverage of sports and markets outside this region. They have a great in-play betting section with quality live streaming.
They have already gained a reputation for having an easy to use platform. And the website is just that, clean, modern, easy to navigate and well structured and organised. With all the sports markets on the left and the betting slip on the right, it’s a nice uncluttered change from some of the other big players that have overloaded their landing page. Whilst NordicBet doesn’t have the range of sports (i.e. Horseracing) that some of the other online bookmakers have, they do have a great range of markets available – 25,911 were available when we wrote this review.
NordicBet Welcome Offers
Like most online bookmakers NordicBet offers welcomes bonuses to both their sportsbook and casino new players. And like all the rest, this is region dependant, so have a look before signing up. However here are the welcome offers that we came across:
10 EURO FREE BET WHEN YOU SIGN UP: Make a deposit of at least €10 and place any Sportsbook bet of at least €10. The free bet must be validated by ticking the BLUE check box on the bet slip before submitting the bet. This is only available for the first deposit and is NOT available if the first deposit is made through: Moneybookers, Neteller or Skrill.
GET STARTED WITH 100% SIGN UP BONUS: Again this offer is only available for first deposits, with a maximum bonus of €50. As part of this welcome bonus you also receive 25 free spins. These can be used on the following games: Starburst, Mega Fortune Dreams, Gonzo’s Quest, South Park Reel Chaos or Twin Spin. The minimum deposit is €10 and the welcome bonus must be rolled 35 X in the casino before withdrawal.
NEW PLAYER TOURNAMENTS: Available for new customers for the first 6 weeks after you have registered with NordicBet. Tournaments take place every Wednesday, there are 2 different tournaments available:
€1000 New Player Freefall: begins every Wednesday at 19:00 CET. It’s free for all new players. €1000 is added to the prize pool
€500 New Player Turbo: begins every Wednesday at 21:00 CET. It’s €1 entry for all new players. €500 prize pool guaranteed.
Registrations for the tournaments open 2 hours before each event and all eligible customers will be invited to the tournament prior to the registration opening.
Other NordicBet Promotions
NordicBet is definitely heavy on the Casino and Poker promotions for their existing customers. They also have a promotion just for the mobile app, which is a great idea and we can’t imagine it will be too long before the other big players start to offer the same.
NordicBet Sports Markets
As mentioned Nordicbet is dominated by Nordic-based sports. However they have ensured that their football markets are as detailed as other online bookmakers. They have a large range of winter sports markets available, but again they have padded it out with other popular markets. They do not offer horseracing or grey hound racing, which is disappointing if that’s your forte. Being one Europe’s leading bookmakers they have great odds across all their available markets.
NordicBet have done their In-Play betting section extraordinarily well. It’s easy to navigate and allows punters to choose between the event overview or combi view. They have quality live streaming available. The live betting markets are accompanied by statistics and information to ensure that their customers are making informed decisions about the bets they’re placing. Just to note that like most big players now, in order to live stream you need a NordicBet account and have deposited funds into that account.
E-sports at NordicBet
Being honest if eSports is your thing, NordicBet isn’t going to be the bookmaker for you. It’s not their strong point. They only have Counter Strike: GO, DOTA 2 and Overwatch available. There’s a combined total of 27 markets available across those three options. It’s clear from the lack of options that NordicBet strengths are not in eSports.
Hopefully as the markets for e-Sports increasing and the industry begins to focus more and more on e-Sports. NordicBet will see the need to increase this area of their business and start offering some real options for their customers. We believe that it’s only a matter of time before this happens. In the meantime though, NordicBet customers will have to go elsewhere for their eSports.
Virtual Sports at NordicBet
As with the eSports, NordicBet isn’t going for any top prizes here. The selection is limited and when you put this against some of the other big players in the industry NordicBet fall behind the eight ball on this. However they do have good odds that are in line with the industry leaders and the live streaming is quality. NordicBet offer the following Virtual Sports: Football World Cup, New Football, Tennis Open, Basketball, Horse Classics and Dog Racing. In fact this is the only section on the site where you can bet on horse or dog racing.
NordicBet has a comprehensive selection of games, powered by Microgaming, Nextgen Games, PlaynGo & NetEnt. They also have a great selection of progressive jackpot games and Nordic themed games. They have a strong table games presence as well. With games such as Multi-wheel Roulette, Red Dog, Baccarat and Blackjack.
Like with the rest of NordicBet’s website the casino is easy to navigate and looks clean and concise. The menu is well laid-out and perfect for new-comers to online casino’s. In saying that however it will suit the more experienced punter as well. Unlike some of the other websites we’ve reviewed this one isn’t cluttered or too busy.
They have a great Video Poker section in their casino as well as the standard Live Casino section. Both of which offer great tables and a broad range of budgets to suit any punter. The dealers are smart and professional and the service is overall a great experience. We were really impressed with the Video Poker as there are around 14 different streams to link into. Please keep in mind that with both the Live Casino and Video Poker you will to download the Adobe Flash Plugin.
NordicBet Sportsbook Mobile App
The NordicBet mobile app is available on both iPhone and Android phones. The app features all the same markets as the desktop site and runs smoothly and is easy to navigate just like the full desktop version. You can download the app from the app store if your country isn’t on the restricted list, or alternatively you can download it the internet if you are having trouble through the app store.
Licensing and regulation
NordicBet is owned by BML Group Ltd, which is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority. Specific games from Scientific Games, IGT, Leander Gamers, iSoftbet Games are licensed by Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). NordicBet are also licensed and regulated by the Swedish Gambling Authority (2019 – 2024).
NordicBet take their customer support very seriously and as a result have one of the most effective and efficient customer service departments we’ve seen. It’s easily accessed through the link at the bottom of each page. This link automatically takes you to the FAQ’s page which is both comprehensive and user-friendly.
Alternatively if you can’t find your issue amongst the list of FAQ’s there are the usual suspects in terms of contacting the support team. All of which boast super fast response times.
- Live Chat: Typical response time 30 seconds.
- Email: [email protected] – Typical response time 30 – 60 minutes.
- Request a Call Back: Typical response time 15 – 60 minutes.
NordicBet has all the usual channels of deposits and withdrawals, although please note the 2.5% charge on Visa & Mastercard deposits. We would have liked to have seen NordicBet keep up with the other industry leaders on this and take the hit for their customers. Perhaps in the future they will.

This list actually surprised us, it’s a far bit longer than other online bookmakers and considering the reputation that NordicBet has we would have thought that they would be one of the industry leaders in this area. But here’s the list:
Afghanistan, Algeria, American Samoa, Angola, Anguilla, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Benin, Bonaire, Botswana, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Croatia, Cuba, Curacao, Cyprus, Czech, DR Congo, Denmark, Djibouti, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, FYROM, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Territories, Gabon, Gambia, Georgia, Greece, Greenland, Guadeloupe, Guam, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Macao, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Martinique, Mauritania, Mayotte, Mexico, Micronesia, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montserrat, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Northern Mariana Islands, Pakistan, Paraguay, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Reunion, Russia, Rwanda, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, Spain, St Pierre et Miquelon, Sudan, Suriname, Swaziland, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Togo, Tonga, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, UK, US Virgin Island, USA, Uganda, Ukraine, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe.
NordicBet’s website is modern, it’s sleek, clean and easy to navigate. They do put a lot of focus on Scandinavian Sports and Leagues but they also manage to have an incredible market range for the European market. Unlike some of their competition NordicBet have managed to keep their website and mobile app uncluttered and user-friendly. Meaning that they attract both new-comers and keep their existing customers by making sure that their platforms aren’t overwhelming.
They don’t offer the eSports and Virtual markets that perhaps some of the other big players offer, but in time we hope they extend their sights and start to get in on the lucrative markets that these virtual sports offer punters and online bookmakers alike. As mentioned in the above review the sheer number of markets that they do offer (25,911 the day we reviewed) is staggering. They have great odds over all of those markets and achieve this in spite of their Scandinavian focus. In other words do not be put off by the name as there’s no better website to use if you’re looking for good odds, a great sportsbook and a clean and concise website.
