Spread Bet on Rugby Union
I have personally been a long time fan of the Rugby Union team the New Zealand All Blacks. Rugby is the epitome of a tough guy sport. Some would argue that American Football is the toughest sport but honestly what could be tougher than Rugby. The good news is that you don’t necessarily have to get involved with a Scrum to be a part of an awesome Rugby match. I personally enjoy spread betting on the matches (much less chance of getting injured!)

There are plenty of ways to bet on Rugby Union matches. First you want to decide if you want to bet on a Spread or if you want to bet on fixed odds. In this article we are going to focus on placing Spread Bets. Like we said previously, there are many different aspects of the game that we can bet on so we are going to focus on a couple to show you how it works.
First lets take a look at betting on the Total Points Spread. This one is exactly what you think it is. The Bet Booking organization is going to layout a range of how many Try’s that they think are going to be scored in the match. At that point you want to analyse what made them come to that conclusion. Then you will want to either bet that the total points will cover the Spread ( meet or exceed it) or not cover the Spread ( Total Score is less than Spread). It is normally more lucrative to bet on not covering the Spread but you can also lose a lot of money if you guess incorrectly.
Another popularly betted on Spread is the First Match Try Spread. This bet is also very simple. All you are betting on is how long it will take for the first Try to be scored. Say you bet that the Spread for the first Try being scored is 30-35 minutes. If you bet $5 on 30 and the first try is scored in the 11th minute you win. If the try was scored in the 40th minute you would lose.
Spread Betting is definitely a great way to get involved in Rugby Union matches. Definitely better than getting into the Scrum with those Brutes.
