Now fully owned by The Rank Group, the Grosvenor brand is still strongly associated with the British gambling market, so it came as no surprise when they decided to diversify from walk-in casinos into the world of sports betting.
Although a relatively new player, the Grosvenor Sportsbook delivers an impressive selection of more than 30 markets and a full range of bets to choose from. All the established sports are covered, including Football, Horse Racing, Golf, Cricket and Tennis.
Other markets that have more options include popular US sports, like Basketball and Ice Hockey, whilst some of the emerging sports markets are covered too, such as E-sports, UFC, and even Chess. The site is easy to navigate, operating quick links to the most popular betting markets and competitions, and there are links to Live Scores, Stats and Betting Rules for guidance.
Not only are all the biggest tournament markets available, but lots of sports from around the globe are also covered. For example, within the Football market, leagues and competitions in nations ranging from Germany to Jamaica can be bet on.
For all the major sports and competitions expect to find around 100 markets available, especially if you include in-play bets. However, for some of the less popular sports, there are understandably fewer betting opportunities.
As with most sports betting operators today, Grosvenor also offers a cash out option, which has proved popular since being introduced into the sports betting arena a few years ago.
In-play betting & live streaming
Grosvenor has more than 100 events available for live betting every day, covering the most popular sports like Football, Tennis and Golf. However, some of the less popular sports, such as Volleyball and Cycling are also covered. For the bigger tournaments and fixtures there are a greater number of live bets available.
Currently, Grosvenor do not support live sports streams, but this is something they are apparently looking to include as part of their service very soon.
Multiples betting options
Grosvenor offers multiples bet types, including all the popular ones like Treble’s, Lucky 15’s, Lucky 31’s, Accumulator’s, Canadian’s, Yankee’s, Trixie’s and the Patent, amongst others. The maximum number of bets that can be added to a bet slip at any one time is limited to twelve.
For a sports betting site that is relatively new to the betting arena, Grosvenor has built a service that provides some very good features. The desktop platform is user-friendly, slick and smart, whilst placing bets is quick and simple. The live betting platform works extremely well and there is a good selection of sports markets and the cash out features.
No mobile betting app and a limited selection of promotions is a disappointment, as is the fact they currently don’t offer a live stream service. However, Grosvenor only need time, especially with their experience in the gambling market, so it is surely only a matter of time before they can rival some of the more established sports betting companies. A major player to come.
