Monday Horse Racing NAP of The Day
With so much uncertainty sounding the world as we speak we look to sports to take our mind off what is happening around us, and, we are in a privileged position that horse race is one of the very few sports that can operate without a live crowd.
One trainer, one groom, one owner and the jockey are the only people allowed into the racecourse that is involved with that particular horse. Lucky for us, we have live broadcasts from the racecourses and online horse racing betting so we can still enjoy the sport we love from the comfort of our own homes.
Right, enough of the doom and gloom, sit back, relax and enjoy the greatest sport on turf.
Racecourse – Southwell; Time – 2.00
This looks a nice opportunity for Virnon to get another win on the board today.
Last seen on March 8th when pushing Eclair De Guye close over C&D, in that pulling 22 lengths clear of the 3rd.
He arrives here with the same mark as last time and with Katie O’ Farrell keeping the ride. If he runs to the level of his last race then he should take all the beating.
Virnon is best priced 3/1 with Betfair
Racecourse – Southwell; Time – 3.00
Haasab is a confident selection for the 3.00 at Southwell.
He is the only one in the field that has shown any form in his last two runs, cumulating in a win and second-place finish.
He is off a mark of 106 and carrying 11st 8lb with should be no problem in this field. He will have a nice pace to aim at and in doing so should win this quite nicely under top conditional Jonjo O’Neill Jr.
One for the each-way backers is the Evan Williams trained Arizona Glory. His three runs in juvenile hurdles haven’t offered much, but, the switch to handicaps could well see him in a new light and at 10/1 is work an each-way punt.
Haasab is best priced 7/4 with Paddy Power.
prices are correct at time of writing.
